If necessary, the MCB Bank* on Bonaire can provide a mortgage for your own 'Bonerian pearl'. This mortgage is based upon the following:

• max. term 10 years;
• life risk and fire insurance for the term of the loan;
• interest rate negotiable, depending on own input;
• max. 70% of the EFSV;
• income must be sufficient to cover payments;
• probability that the bank will ask for a certain amount (3 month payments) to be maintained in a savings or C/A.

The following documents need to be provided:

• bank reference letter;
• complete statement of affairs (MCB Bank provides that document to fill in);
• proof of income;
• indication on how loan payments will be serviced (from rent of transfers);
• copy ID;
• tax documents.
