All the villas on the Perla Boneriano project have solar hot water panels. Besides the ecological advantage, this also gives a financial benefit, certainly on Bonaire where electricity is relatively expensive. The villas that have two floors will have two solar hot water systems on the roof, to ensure that both floors have their own independant hot water supply. The central pool is equipped with LED-lights - they're a lot less power-consuming than traditional pool lights.

Also, the Perla Boneriano project's evening lights (garden, road etc.) is provided by solar panels. Because Bonaire has a lot of sunhine hours during the day, this is an excellent alternative for electricity made out of fossile fuels.

Totally, three large septic systems are being built on the Perla project. The capacity of these septic systems is sufficient for watering the tropical garden. This too creates a great ecological and financial advantage! Only if necessary (if there's a very dry summer season), drinking water will have to be added to the drip system for the garden.

If you decide to buy your villa in the pre-construction phase, more ecological features can be added upon your request! For example: extra solar panels are not only allowed, but are encouraged to save energy.
